Chad turns 30!!

Chad turned 30 on Saturday! I'm only 2 months older, but it's the longest 2 months of the year! He loves to give me a hard time. It's been particularly easy this year with us both having a milestone birthday! We went over to our good friends John and Marcy's for a wonderful dinner on Friday. I will certainly miss hanging out with her everyday this coming year. She's so funny and crazy that we could laugh about anything even on the most hectic work days! We had a cookout at our house on Saturday. It was great to catch up with everyone. The kids were so cute playing together! I think there's about 4 kids in our group that will be in the Class of 2023-how funny does that sound? My family came over to celebrate Sunday after church. Whew-a whole weekend just for Chad! It was all so much fun. And not even over yet! Our friends Chad and Rachel were out of town-so we're heading to dinner with them tonight to help Chad keep celebrating! I did go back to work today, though. I'm teaching a summer school class Mon-Thurs. for 3 weeks. Even though it's only 8-12 I still missed hanging out with Hattie.

"Can't Keep a Good Girl Down"

3 weeks shy of her first bithday and Hattie has officially started walking! That's not to say she's a full-timer yet, she does have her lazy moments of crawling! I've had several people tell me recently that I will dread her walking because then I won't be able to keep up with her. I'm sure that's true, but I'm very thankful for the distance between Hattie and the floor now! She is a human vacuum cleaner. Her favorite thing to pick up and eat being bugs! Hopefully, that habit will slow down a bit!

It's a Boy!!!
We had a sonogram today and found out that Baby #2 is a boy!!! We are so excited! We know his first name will be Anderson (Chad's middle name), but have yet to agree on the baby's middle name-we'll see. Everything on the sono looked great. They are keeping my due date at Dec.15th, but will pick a date to induce as we get closer. Chad, Hattie, and I went and got the bedding today (mainly because it was 50% off). Although, I think it will be quite a while until the room is anywhere close to being put together! Please continue to keep us and Anderson in your prayers!

Summer Vacation!!!

Our family had a big week in Breckenridge Colorado. Chad, Hattie, and I rode with my parents. It sure was nice to have people in the back to keep Hattie entertained! We met up with Mark, Ang, and Ava in Abilene. We were there just long enough to snap some cute pictures of the future Wildcats and satisfy our Taco Bueno fix. Once in Breckenridge we enjoyed lots of relaxing, hiking, shopping, and eating! The kids and adults all had a great time catching up and playing! The ride home got a little adventurous when Mark's truck overheated in the mountains! We ended up staying a night in Denver while it got repaired. Not all bad since our hotel was across the street from Colorado Mills! We are glad to be home and our looking forward to our doctor's appointment tomorrow-we found out if we are having a boy or a girl!!
