Parakeets in Tap Shoes

Hattie had her first dance recital Friday night. Her tap class performed to the song "Parakeets in Tap Shoes" and they were just the cutest things! There were 200+ girls performing. It was so much fun to watch all the performances and see the different costumes. The recital was really long with about 27 acts. I was worried about Anderson having to sit that long. He loved it! He sat in my grandmother's lap the entire show commenting on all the performances! He was really impressed with the tumbling that the competitive cheer groups did(of course, who wasn't? One of the dance teams are the National Champions!)! Here are some pictures from the dress rehearsal and the recital. It's been a busy week preparing for this event!

Mother's Day 2010

My brothers and their families came into town this past weekend to celebrate Mother's Day. We had a great time catching up. It's the first time, in a long time, that I felt like I actually got to visit them while the kids all played. I love the baby stage, but there are definitely some advantages to kids getting older. They all played so well together! I only had my camera on Sunday, so I didn't catch all the action!

It's That Time of Year Again...

Great weather+Great birthday parties and friends+great outdoor play= Fantastic weekends!

We made these Pinecone Peanut Butter Birdseed Birdfeeders last weekend(thanks to a Special Agent Oso episode). They were quite a hit with the squirrels!
